Episode 96: Entrepreneurs Who Grew 6+ Figure Businesses With Noah St. John

NOAH ST. JOHN is known as “The Power Habits® Mentor” and is famous for helping people have better mind health and more business wealth. Since 1997, his coaching clients have added more than $2.7 BILLION dollars using his methods.

Inspiration:
Noah St. John grew up poor in a rich neighborhood in a family where they knew they were poor…and miserable. He knew he wanted to close the chasm and become one of the “haves” down the street rather than the have nots, so he read every success book he could – Stephen Covey, Dale Carnegie, Napolean Hill (the classics), but nothing worked and Noah became depressed, angry, lonely and suicidal. But as he shares in his book, at the last moment his life was spared and he needed to know why. Five years later, in 1997, he found his purpose and started his personal growth business and first website from his college dorm room with $800 and a book on HTML.

Challenge:
Noah had no money, experience, marketing or sales knowledge in the beginning. And at the time there was no social media, blogs, YouTube, or Facebook, but he had a burning desire to make an impact and help people. Because he didn’t know anything about running a business, he needed help and the help wasn’t good – terrible coaching, marketing and lacking in support. At the time, it was a lot of personality-driven marketing – all about the person with the lambos and private jets. For years, Noah bought into that – bought (believed it) and bought (paid for the coaching). Personality-driven marketing wasn’t for him and so instead he built success-driven systems that focused on client solutions.

Passion:
At 54, Noah is starting his “third quarter of life” and is focused on legacy and making a difference. Helping people become the best versions of themselves and getting out of their own way.

Vision:

AF-FORM-ATIONS

Instead of affirmations like “I am rich” and the brain responds with “yeah right, that’s not true!” you’d use an af-form-mation which is an empowering question rather than an unempowering statement. Example: “Why am I so rich?”

Advice:
The best advice Noah received was TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS. Be sure you’re getting the right information and talking to the right people. Early on, Noah invested in marketers and people who did not have his best interest at heart.

Personal Growth:
Noah went from broke to financial success with time freedom. A freedom lifestyle for him has 4 elements:

• Having enough time to do the things you really want to do
• Having the energy to enjoy doing those things
• Having people around you spiritually, emotionally, and mentally
• And having the money to do the things you’re passionate about
