Episode 97: Entrepreneurs Who Grew 6+ Figure Businesses With Adam Urbanski

Known worldwide as The Millionaire Marketing Mentor®, Adam Urbanski is the go-to guy for successful coaches who want to better monetize their unique brilliance and find their Fastest Path To Cash™.

Using his Revenue RevUp™ method Adam’s clients often make more in just 12 weeks than what they have earned in the previous 12 months combined.

A pioneer in promoting services online (made his first online sale in 2000) he now influences over 100,000 entrepreneurs. Through his programs, he helps clients transform their unique genius and know-how into their cash-cow, often helping them make as much as $100K, $250K, and even $1M in just 90 days – without lists, websites, JVs, complicated funnels, launches or paid ads.

Inspiration:
Adam became an entrepreneur out of neccessity in the beginning. He came to the U.S. from Poland. He didn’t have money or speak the language, but he had natural business savvy. A short stint in college showed him it wasn’t worthwhile to learn from teachers who hadn’t run successful businesses themselves. He’s been in business for over 30 years and grew his business by taking what he’s got and simply serving people. His first official business (you have to listen to the podcast for his first business at age 6) was a money exchange business shortly after it became legal in Poland to own foreign currency. Although a true entrepreneur, with various ideas and businesses behind him, Adam has been focused in recent years on his Marketing Mentors business that started under a different name in 2001.
He knew he wanted more than his restaurant business and had been attending “university on wheels” listening to programs on tape on business and self growth. And so the mentoring began.

Challenge:

Adam had mentored many young employees in his restaurant business (that grew to 103 employees), but when he left the restaurant industry behind, he found himself miserable working with corporations teaching leadership and communication skills. The “backstabbing” corporate culture was not for Adam where poor decisions were made and leadership was lacking. Adam fell into teaching and mentoring on the request to hold a seminar. His business grew organically and he learned early on to get paid for his teaching. “That which comes easiest to you, you should be getting paid for the most!”

Adam has worked through beliefs that have held him back, stemming from a communist background where it’s common to feel you have to “work yourself to the bone”. And in American culture, he flourished with more of the pioneering spirit than the attitude of “you have to work hard for your money.” He stopped doing what he didn’t enjoy and went all in with the teaching that he was good at, and the money flowed. During a long vacation travelling the world (for fun and not business), he realized he was holding back on sharing his personal success while very eagerly sharing the success stories of his clients.

Adam’s best advice on getting to your first million in business:

Figure out who you are. Then, package yourself based on who you are.

At Unleashed Entrepreneurs, we couldn’t agree more! That is why the Entrepreneur Code and learning your core values is essential to stepping into your purpose-driven business, creating your unique message and unleashing your business success!

Passion:
Adam is passionate about transforming lives and helping people live to their fullest potential. He does this through the vehicle of teaching people how to market themselves.

Vision:
He holds a high vision for his clients in the Marketing Mentors program to help them turn their annual revenue into monthly revenue in 12 weeks or less.

Advice:
If you want to make it as an entrepreneur, you have got make offers. It’s that simple. Figure out how to create a good message around your offer, then go and repeat that message as often as you can. If you don’t market and sell what you do, you have no business delivering it. If you just want to work with clients and don’t want to market and sell, you’re building a trap for yourself. Building a business IS about learning how to market and sell.

Looking Back:
Looking back Adam would tell his younger self to get smarter advisors sooner. He’d tell his caring self to be more vulnerable with the world. And thirdly, LEARN TO LOSE CONTROL. Apply Mario Andretti’s advice to your business. He said, “if you have everything under control, you are driving too slow”. If you have everything under control in your business, you’re not growing fast enough. Lose control and give that control to other people.
