Melissa Kim Corter is a best-selling author, speaker, and certified hypnotherapist. She is certified in over 36 modalities. Her specialty is discovering emotional and financial barriers sabotaging prosperity and visibility.
She has a unique intuitive ability to uncover blockages and self-defeating patterns cycling through the nervous system and subconscious mind.
She works with creatives, authors, and coaches to release their fears and achieve their goals. For more than 16 years, Melissa has extensively studied many facets of intuition, neuroscience, human behavior, shamanism, and spirituality.
Inspiration:
At first, Melissa had no interest in starting a business not until things started to show up in her life that she tends to pay attention to. She was asked to do different things to help people in different ways, where she quickly turned into having a lot more interest in human behavior and psychology. That’s when she decided to become a hypnotherapist and then she found out the people wanted to work with her.
Challenge:
Part of her challenges is in thinking that other business owners had figured something out that she was lacking. She didn’t have much confidence to be able to talk about who she was, what she does, and how she helps.
Overcoming Challenges:
Overcoming all these she learned that the mind is a very powerful thing, she learned that the stories she creates within her head have absolutely no truth and that it’s is not really that terrifying, frightening, difficult, and challenging. She learned to have the willingness to want to face all sorts of discomforts.
Passion:
Melissa is passionate about her prosperity, it is something she didn’t want to talk about nor had an interest in the past, and yet people had kept coming to her. Like with COVID happening, it really became a topic she wants nothing to do with because there are so many people with mixed emotions and different experiences happening. Melissa realized that now is the best time to be empowered and to work through obstacles, she realized that simply facing it and looking at it will completely open doorways to innovation, creativity, and opportunity.
Vision:
She believes that one has so much more control in some ways than one can realize, at the same time she believes that we don’t have control in a lot of other ways. She sees that in the next 5 years there will be a lot of restructuring, we are going to see inspiration, creativity kind of peak in a way that it hasn’t happened before because there wasn’t the same type of catalyst that we have right now.
Advice:
Her best advice is to know that everything is within you, Melissa became a seeker and started going through courses, training, and program classes and be able to apply her learnings in her business in knowing that it would help her enhance her life too.
Personal Growth:
Her biggest personal growth is to realize that she can make a fool out of herself and have fun, to be silly and goofy, then she got so afraid and had the feeling to get things right and release all her imperfections. She felt relieved in doing so that it felt like it took some of her limitations, resistance, emotional baggage which eventually allowed her to be herself.

Looking Back:
Looking back, Melissa would tell her younger self is not be afraid and does not work so hard. She believes so much effort was out of fear. She would like to tell her younger self to as well trust her intuition, where she could have picked the perfect projects.
