Episode 54: Entrepreneurs Who Grew 6+ Figure Businesses With Vernon T. Foster II

Vernon is Founder & CEO of Pod Parrot.com. He’s a highly sought after podcast educator, speaker and consultant. Vernon continually seeks out new ways to innovate and strategically leverage podcasting as a viable platform for startups, CEOs, and professionals.

The idea behind Pod Parrot formed back in 2013, when Vernon launched his first podcast. Without a strategy in place, Vernon was unsure of where to take his show. Just two month after launching his podcast, he pulled the plug.

In December of 2013, Vernon decided to use his knowledge and expertise in the events industry to start another podcast, Event Supremacy. He soon discovered that podcasting was a phenomenal way to not only network, but to grow a business by connecting with potential customers, gaining valuable insights, and building authority.

Vernon realized other small business owners and professionals would see value in podcasting. Pod Parrot has been a complete podcast solution providing consulting, training, and coaching for busy professionals.

Inspiration:
Vernon evolved many times during his career. He went from event planning to host podcasts about event planning, and during that part of his podcast career, he noticed that there was a need for podcast services for podcasters.

Challenge:
He found it it was hard to sell products or services to those new entrepreneurs and advance hobbyists who didn’t have the income to support an outsourced service for their business.

Passion:
He’s passionate about serving people and figuring out ways to improve the world. He wants to leave this world a better place for the next generation.

Vision:
Vernon has a future vision to build a retreat center, probably in a different country, but a place where people can go to relax, recharge and heal from the everyday parts of life that bring us down.

Advice:
He has received a lot of great advice, but one piece of great advice is from a book called The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and it says, “Always do your best.”

Personal Growth:
Vernon attributes his personal growth to doing a lot of reading in personal and financial growth book, but he has found that incorporating the physical practice of yoga to create a balance in both his business and personal life.

Tools, Podcasts & Books:

Looking Back:
Looking back, Vernon would tell his younger self to travel further, worry less and spend twice as much time on discovering yourself.
